Deskcue — Terms of Service

Effective 28 September 2026

These terms cover using Deskcue — the app and deskcue.org — and buying a paid plan. They are written to be read. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and we'll explain.

The short version

Using Deskcue

You need an account to use the app, and you're responsible for keeping your sign-in private. A workspace belongs to its owner — the person who created it, or whoever it was handed to — and the owner and admins decide who joins and what each person does. Use Deskcue lawfully and kindly: no harassment, no content you don't have the right to share, and no attempts to break, overload or get around its security.

Plans and seats

Every plan has every feature; plans differ by how many people a workspace can hold. A person counts once they're active in your workspace — members, stewards and admins alike. People waiting to join don't count until they're approved, and nobody is turned away: the next person simply waits until a seat frees up or the plan grows.

Paying and subscription codes

Prices are listed at deskcue.org/pricing, in US dollars; taxes may apply depending on where you are. When you order, we confirm the details and how to pay. Once payment clears, we email your subscription code together with an invoice.

A subscription code works once, for one workspace. Keep it private until it's used — any workspace's owner or global admin could redeem it. We may revoke a code that was obtained by fraud or issued in error.

When a plan ends, renewing and switching

A plan runs for the months you bought, counted from activation. Unless you chose automatic renewal when you paid, it simply ends at the end of that period and your workspace returns to Free: everyone stays and all history stays, but new people can't join above 10 until you renew.

Renewing the same plan adds the new time on top of whatever is left. Switching to a different plan starts it right away; the app shows exactly what changes before you confirm, and unused time on the old plan doesn't carry over — if that would leave you out of pocket, write to us first and we'll make it right.

Refunds

If Deskcue isn't right for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment for a plan and we'll refund it in full. After that, payments aren't refundable, but you're never locked in — you can simply not renew.

Your data

What we store and why is set out in our Privacy Policy. Your workspace's requests stay inside your workspace, and you can delete your own account at any time from the app.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Deskcue fast and reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may improve, change or retire features; if a change ever takes away something you've paid for, we'll tell you first and make it right.

Not for emergencies

Deskcue carries everyday requests between people. It is not an emergency, medical, safety or alarm system — never rely on it where a missed or late alert could put anyone at risk.

Liability

Deskcue is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

Ending

You can stop using Deskcue at any time and delete your account from the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law or someone's safety prevents it.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell workspace owners before it applies to a plan they've already paid for.
